April 2024

The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM) is pleased to announce that the 2024 Spring Conference will be held virtually from Monday, May 6, 2024, to Thursday, May 9, 2024. The comprehensive schedule is now available on our website, where attendees can also find updates on sessions, including those subject to time changes.

This year's Spring Conference promises an engaging lineup of sessions spread across four days, each focusing on key aspects of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (AHM) education and practice, with a special focus on collaborative sessions to advance AHM education.

Although all member schools administrators and faculty are welcome to attend all days and sessions, each day has been designed with special focus topics. Monday's sessions have an Administrator Focus; Tuesday's sessions have an Academics Focus; Wednesday is a Faculty Day, with the CCAHM General Business Meeting and Open Networking Session scheduled on Thursday.

Monday kicks off with a keynote by Dr. Aram Akopyan on "How to Survive and Thrive in the New Educational Paradigm," exploring innovative strategies in blended, hybrid, and AI-assisted learning within the TCM educational environment. This session includes a case study on a hybrid school in Europe that has been making significant strides.

On Wednesday, join Bob Chelnick and the Faculty Development Committee for "Elevating Academic Success: A Collaborative Review of Essential Textbooks & Resources for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine." This session will delve into the best available textbooks and resources, aiming to enhance the quality of education in our member colleges.

As always, the Spring Conference is a vital part of CCAHM’s commitment to supporting our member schools with valuable resources and education for administrators, faculty, and students. We are dedicated to advancing the field of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine through exemplary education and professional development.

Members will receive detailed agendas, conference links, and additional materials prior to the conference.
