Denver, CO — November 14, 2025 — The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM) announces the results of its Fall 2025 Executive Committee election.
Benjamin W. Griffith II, DAc, L.Ac., DipL.Ac. (Won Institute of Graduate Studies) was re-elected as Vice President. Jenny Yu, DACM, L.Ac. (Southern California University of Health Sciences) and Catherine Niemiec, JD, L.Ac. (Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture) were re-elected to serve as Members-at-Large. David Lee, EdD, (Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley) was elected to serve as Treasurer.
These individuals will serve two-year terms through the Fall election in 2027. CCAHM extends its appreciation to Jennifer Brett, ND, L.Ac., who concluded six years of dedicated service as Treasurer.
Thomas Kouo, DAOM, L.Ac., DiplOM, CCAHM President (Virginia University of Integrative Medicine - New Jersey Campus), said, “We’re fortunate to have such dedicated leaders on our Executive Committee and throughout the Council membership. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for Dr. Brett’s years of fiscal leadership and immeasurable contributions to Council activity. We are excited to welcome David Lee to the Executive Committee as our new Treasurer.”
David Lee, EdD, Treasurer-elect, said, “I am honored to serve as Treasurer. I’ve spent my career in nonprofit higher-education leadership, including public-sector budgeting, careful financial analysis, transparent reporting, and aligning resources with mission. I look forward to supporting CCAHM’s financial health and strategic priorities in this role.”
The Executive Committee provides leadership and oversight for CCAHM’s strategic initiatives, finances, and member engagement programs, representing accredited colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine across the United States.
