The Council has decided to transition its 2026 Annual Conference, originally scheduled in person in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to a fully virtual format. The virtual meeting will occur between April 22-24, and the General Business Meeting will take place virtually on Thursday, April 23.
This decision reflects the Council’s commitment to the health, safety, and security of our community, as well as our responsibility to ensure a successful and accessible conference experience. Given current conditions related to immigration enforcement in Minneapolis that may affect travel and participation, moving to a virtual format allows us to maintain strong engagement and continuity for our members and partners.
The full virtual conference schedule will be shared as soon as it is finalized. The Council is also exploring opportunities to return to an in-person gathering in the future, potentially later this year or in the next annual cycle.
We thank our members and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support.
NOTE: The ASA Annual Conference will still take place in-person in Minneapolis April 25-26. They continue to be in communication with the hotel, which has stated that they have not had any issues and maintain 24 hr security to ensure safety is their #1 priority for attendees.
